On June 08 2018 I was grateful to be invited to present some of my university projects to Shireland Collegiate Academy. The presentation raised the students awareness on the value of design in all things around us considering the greater rise in global waste as well as the multitude of creative disciplines DT opens students up to. I wished to enlighten students interests in exploring Industrial Design as an option for a higher education study path. Along the day I presented to multiple year groups from IGCSE to A-Levels. It was altogether a great experience for the students and myself. Some of the students also showed me their work and I provided advice on ways to improve their presentation, sketching and rendering. I look forward to returning in the future to provide further support to the school.
