CHAISE-LOUNGE

A Contemporary Chaise Lounge designed for indoor and outdoor use. The chair is adaptable and can be raised to that of normal lounge seating height. When placed within the base it may be rotated to provide different levels of comfort and relaxation. Alternatively without a base to appear as a more sculptural piece within a room or in outdoor environments such as a pool side setting. Designed with ergonomic consideration to suit the curvature of the human spine. Construction includes cherry wood and a brushed aluminium skeleton. The base has smoothly finished open mortise joints. Slats are affixed in alignment and appear as if floating over the aluminium spine. The chaise considers an ironic juxtaposition with the slats of a park bench but with an appearance of a more sophisticated and iconic piece of design. Variations could include different base shapes and settings, alternative finishes, mattresses, cushions or other fabrications.
