ANTICIPATION

A wrist band that comprises a visual display of illuminated linear indicators on the hard shell exterior with a soft fabric rubber inner lining that pulses. The technology in the wristband operates via Bluetooth using a smart phone application. The display and pulsation communicate and enhance the following stages of excited anticipation through interaction with the wearer.

Stage 1: Knowledge

The wearer sets the wrist band for a forthcoming event such as a meeting or date.

Stage 2: Predict

Based on the information provided the app predicts the time to wait for the event to occur or the distance to be travelled to arrive at the destination. This may be the distance between 2 people who have arranged to meet.

Stage 3: Expect

Using the app the wristband can be set to pulse in synchronization with the wearer’s heartbeat or to increase in intensity as the event approaches

Stage 4: Wait.

The number of linear indicators illuminated provide a countdown to the event

Stage 5: Event

The event occurs and the linear indicators and the inner lining pulsate at highest intensity.

EMOTIONAL INTENSITY

The smart phone application can also interact with a smart watch via a range of graphical interfaces. The app will also allow identification between 2 wearers of the wristband using geo tracking/ navigation technology. The wristbands can be set to indicate visually and through pulse frequency the proximity between the wearers making it a fun device for blind dates. The device features technology already available in a range of products such as mobile phones and existing wearable technologies. The change in visual appearance of the wrist band makes it an intriguing fashion accessory.
